Adaptation!

Lesson: Science

Class: Class 3 Year: 2021 - 2022

As part of our 'Evolution and Inheritance' science topic, last week the children were learning all about adaptation and how animals have adapted to their environments.

We used the text 'Moth' by Isabel Thomas, which is a beautifully illustrated explanation of how Peppered Moths adapted during the Industrial Revolution.

This story really engaged the children and helped them develop a fantastic knowledge on adaptation. The work they created is fabulous! Year 4 had to create a comic strip of the story of the Peppered Moth's adaptation, while Years 5 and 6 created a double page spread.
