The Plastic Pledge

Lesson: English

Class: Class 1 Year: 2022 - 2023

The Plastic Pledge 2023.

As a class we discussed what the plastic pledge is and why it is so important to recycle! We discussed how the animals in the ocean might feel swimming in a sea of pollution. We read that scientists predict that by 2050 there will be more pollution in the ocean than animals. We wanted the children to have a hands on experience of how it actually feels for the sea creatures by getting them to paddle in our pool of pollution. Once we had experienced this the chilren then wrote their own Plastic Pledge promises. Well done Class One!
