Pneumatics

Date: 18th Jul 2023 @ 4:28pm

This half term, the children in Class 2 have been exploring how pneumatics are used to move things.  Once we had got our tongues and teeth round the word (!), we looked at real life examples and learnt that the first people to use pneumatics were the Greeks.  We explored using balloons and plastic syringes to push air through plastic tubing.  From this, we have started to design pneumatic toys based on our book 'Aubrey and the Terrible Ladybirds'.  In the photosm, you can see the children getting to grips with pneumatic control!
