End of Key Stage Results

Key Stage 2 - 2019

Due to the COVID Pandemic, national tests did not take place in 2020 and 2021. Tests did take place in 2022, however these are not required to be published due the disruption of the pandemic and these tests being the first statutory assessments since 2019. Therefore, the test results below are not current results but are the most recent results available.  

Reading

In reading, 100% of children achieved the 'Expected' standard and 30% of children achieved 'Greater Depth'. Pupils achieving the expected standard in Shropshire this year was 74.9% and nationally 73.1%. The average scaled score in reading was 108.3. The average progress score for reading was 0.55.

Writing

In writing, 90% of children achieved the 'Expected' standard and 20% of pupils achieved 'Greater Depth'. Pupils achieving the expected standard in Shropshire this year was 79.3% and nationally 78.4%. The average progress score for writing was -1.69.

Mathematics

In mathematics, 90% of children achieved the 'Expected' standard and 0% of children achieved 'Greater Depth'. Pupils achieving the expected standard in Shropshire this year was 78.4% and nationally 78.6%. The average scaled score in maths was 104.3. The average progress score for maths was -3.55.

Grammar,  Punctuation and Spelling

This year 90% of KS2 children achieved the 'Expected' standard in Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling with 20% achieving 'Greater Depth'. Pupils achieving the expected standard in Shropshire this year was 78.2% and nationally 77.9%. The average scaled score in GPS was 107.1. 

Reading, Writing and Maths

Across all subjects of Reading, Writing and Maths, 80% of pupils achieved the 'Expected' standard as opposed to 65.1% in Shropshire and 64.7% of pupils nationally. The percentage of pupils achieving a high level of attainment was 0%.

Key Stage 1 - 2019

Reading

In reading, 62.5% of children in KS1 achieved the 'Expected' standard and 37.5% achieved 'Greater Depth'. In Shropshire 73.7% of pupils achieved the expected standard (national 75%) with 26.4% achieving 'Greater Depth' (national 25.1%).

Writing

In writing, 50% of children achieved the 'Expected' standard and 0% achieved 'Greater Depth'. In Shropshire 67.3% of pupils achieved the expected standard (national 69.3%) with 15.3% achieving 'Greater Depth' (national 14.8%).

Mathematics

In mathematics 62.5% of children achieved the 'Expected' level with 12.5% achieving 'Greater Depth'. In Shropshire 73.5% of pupils achieved the expected standard (national 75.7%) with 21.4% achieving 'Greater Depth' (21.9% national).

Reading, Writing and Maths

Across all subjects of Reading, Writing and Maths, 37.5% of pupils achieved the 'Expected' standard as opposed to 62.5% in Shropshire and 65% nationally.

Y1-Phonics Screening Check 2019

In 2019, 87.5% of Y1 pupils passed the phonics screening check and 100% of those who re-sat the check in Y2.

EYFS-Good Level of Development 2019

At the end of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), 80% of pupils achieved a Good Level of Development. This means that pupils reached the expected level in all of the prime areas of learning (Communication and Language, Physical Development, Personal, Social and Emotional Development) and Literacy and Maths.
